BJ and the Bear Replicars
The show follows B.J. McKay (played by Greg Evigan), a free-spirited long-haul truck driver who travels the highways of America in his red-and-white Kenworth semi-truck. His constant companion? A mischievous chimpanzee named Bear. Together, the duo roam from town to town getting caught up in various adventures — helping strangers in need, stumbling into small-town trouble, and frequently clashing with the bumbling Sheriff Lobo, who is determined to catch B.J. for minor trucking infractions. The series blended action, humor, and the classic 1970s “open road freedom” vibe that made trucking shows popular at the time.
