E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a heartwarming science-fiction adventure about friendship, childhood wonder, and the idea that even the most different beings can form powerful bonds.
The story follows a young boy named Elliott who discovers a stranded alien hiding near his home after the creature is accidentally left behind by its spaceship. Elliott secretly shelters the gentle alien, who becomes known as E.T., and the two quickly form a deep emotional connection.
As Elliott and his siblings try to help E.T. stay hidden from government agents searching for the mysterious visitor, they also work together to find a way for E.T. to contact his home planet. Their journey leads to unforgettable moments of wonder, including the famous flying bicycle scene and E.T.’s iconic phrase, “phone home.”
