American Dream Replicars
American Dreams is a feel-good drama that takes us back to the early 1960s, where family life meets the exciting cultural and social shifts of the time.
The series centres around the Pryor family in Philadelphia, with Meg Pryor (played by Brittany Snow) as the main character. She’s a teenager with a big dream: to dance on the hit TV show American Bandstand! As Meg becomes a regular dancer, the show uses her journey to explore some of the era’s biggest historical moments and cultural trends, such as civil rights, the Vietnam War, and the changing music scene.
At the same time, her parents and siblings are dealing with their own challenges as the world around them starts to change quickly. The show often features performances and appearances by artists who are either inspired by or portray real-life music legends, which really brings the 1960s feel to life.
With its heartfelt family stories, music, history, and coming-of-age themes, American Dreams gives us a warm and engaging look at a time when American culture was really changing.
