Pet Detective is a wild slapstick comedy that introduced audiences to one of the most outrageous comedy characters of the 1990s.

The film stars Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura, an eccentric private investigator who specialises in finding missing animals. Known for his bizarre behaviour, over-the-top personality, and unconventional detective methods, Ace is hired to solve the mysterious disappearance of the Miami Dolphins’ mascot dolphin, Snowflake, just before the Super Bowl.

As Ace dives deeper into the case, he uncovers a larger conspiracy involving revenge, hidden identities, and corruption within the football organisation. Along the way, his unpredictable antics create chaos everywhere he goes.

Filled with physical comedy, quotable lines, and Jim Carrey’s energetic performance, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective became a major comedy hit and helped launch Carrey into superstardom during the 1990s.
